ABOUT ME

Lucinda Meade

Physiotherapist & Hypnotherapist

Lucinda took the scenic route to science via art, photography, graphic design, video editing, sandwich-making and night club dancing.

At the age of 42 she decided to take a conversion course in science and although not completely converted she did get a full time place at King’s College London to study Physiotherapy, working nights in liver intensive care to pay her way.

A year later during end of term exams, as she clutched her chest in panic, she found a lump. This meant a year out, having operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. It also meant an early menopause which was never discussed. Every symptom came as a shock to the uninitiated and uninformed.

Finally, having qualified in 2010 she has been working successfully and independently both as a physiotherapist and hypnotherapist. Advances in neuroscience have lead Lucinda more and more into treating the mind as much as the body, as it becomes clearer with current research, how you can only really cure the body if you also take care of the mind. Lucinda believes in looking at the whole person and their full history, both emotional and physical.

We don’t have to just get through life. With science and attitude our minds and bodies can work better than ever.
